2027 Expo – Building the Future of Irrigation

Dallas Irrigation Association Expo Returns January 28, 2027 –

The North Texas irrigation industry is preparing for one of its most important annual gatherings. On Thursday, January 28, 2027, the Dallas Irrigation Association (DIA) will host its Expo under the theme “Building the Future of Irrigation” at the Plano Event Center in Plano, Texas. Doors open at 7:30 a.m., with educational sessions running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This full-day event brings together licensed irrigators, technicians, inspectors, backflow specialists, and related professionals for focused continuing education, practical training, and industry networking. In a region where water efficiency, regulatory compliance, and system performance remain top priorities, the Expo delivers targeted content that helps practitioners stay current and competitive.

Three Tracks of CEU Classes

  • Wireless Technology in Landscape Irrigation
  • How to Be More Efficient with Our Water
  • Optimizing Irrigation to Improve Plant Health
  • Building a Large Scale Irrigation Infrastructure
  • Underground Utility Damage Prevention
  • 2-Wire System Design, Installation & Troubleshooting
  • Understanding & Troubleshooting Controllers

  • North Texas Municipal Water District Update

A specialized tract for Backflow, Irrigation, Technician, Water, Wastewater, and OSSF licensees features Confined Space Safety and Awareness, which offers dual credit for BP and LI/IT/II, Water, Wastewater, and OSSF licensees.

These sessions emphasize real-world skills—system design and troubleshooting, water conservation strategies, emerging wireless and controller technologies, infrastructure planning, and safety—while addressing the practical challenges contractors and technicians face daily in the DFW metroplex and beyond.
